Born in the North of Spain, Erika García is a young professional classic clarinettist who is currently developing her career in the Netherlands. She is aware of what being an artist means in the 21st century and therefore she also develops other skills beyond music: “I would highlight not only her qualities as an instrumentalist but also as a performer and artist” (CB, 2021).
Recently graduated in the Master´s performance program at Conservatoirum Maastricht under the guidance of Roeland Hendrikx, Erika´s carrer is currently focused on her development as an orchestral musician. She holds principal positions in various orchestras, including Naational Jeugdorkest (NJO) and Limburgs Jeugd Symfonie Orkest (LJSO) in the Netherlands and the Youth Orchestra of the Basque country (EGO) in Spain.
Chamber music has been a constant presence throughout her musical carrer, enabling her to play in a large variety of ensembles, participate in significant international chamber music festivals and to receive awards in different national and international competitions.
